Who are we ?

The e-elim Pentecostal church of Thonon is part of the large movement of Elim Pentecostal Church Which was been founded in 1915 in the United Kingdom through the ministry of Georges Jeffreys. There are about 9000 Elim churches across the world.

The name "Elim" is taken from the Old Testament book of Exodus. When the Israelites were worn out and desperate after their escape from slavery in Egypt, they were on the road to the promised land of Canaan, when they arrived in an oasis in the desert called Elim, an oasis with 12 springs of water and 70 palm trees (Exodus 15:27).

There are several Elim churches in France, which have regrouped under the UEEEF (Union of Elim Evangelical Churches in France). The e-elim church of Thonon-les-Bains was founded in 2002 by a small team led by Pastor Luc Favre.
